Despite the fact that we are -- believe it or not, in a pandemic -- your description of the current situation, and the way we are handling it is SO FUNNY! Thank you! Unfortunately, it's not really funny to be lying in your bed at home, coughing and sneezing, with a raging fever, and possibly dying. But after all, human beings are notoriously arrogant about what we think we know, and what we think we might decide to believe, and what we think maybe is worth listening to on the news or from our doctor.

There's a reason that people tend to die by the millions in sudden onset pandemics. They were dying in droves during the Black Plague. I don't know what color THIS plague is, but I suspect we'll be dying in droves during this one too. I'd like to be flippant, and say, "It's the American Way" --- but really, it's not just the stupidity of us Americans...this is the Human Way -- or "Anything you can do, I can do better...." "Anything you can say, I can say best!" "Anything you can try, I'll try it faster!" I am a Human, so I know what's Best!"... Uh huh.... Right. Wanna make a bet?
