Well, this is certainly a surprise … I am currently reading “A Warning”, and I’m about 2/3's of the way through it, and so far, I have not been dissuaded from my loathing of the authoritarian monstrosity we’ve hired to lead our nation down into the political sewer that is our nation’s current stage of growing dissolution into a full dictatorship. I guess I’ll have to get right to the end of it to see that conclusion offered…? Hmm.. maybe I’m simply too convinced that Donald Trump is an authoritarian, AND that he is, frankly, mad as the Marsh Hare in Alice’s “Through the Looking Glass”. Narcissism does not always lead directly into megalomania or pathological lying, but it certainly seems to be leading that way in his case. There is not a doubt in my mind that he is convinced that he is the most fabulous human being on the face of the earth, and the most “wonderful” president we’ve ever had. Of course, those are just delusions, but he’s totally warped by his narcissism. No amount of reasoning or common sense or any other remediation will convince him otherwise.

But still, I thought “A Warning” had the purpose of exposing the truth of Trump’s madness to us all. I guess I just need to finish reading it to see that it’s not. I am certainly not changing my mind about the need to remove him from office before he destroys our democratic form of government, which he surely intends to do. Dictators won’t tolerate any form of verbal or direct resistance to their orders and demands, and he’s no different than Vladimer Putin, or Kim Jung Un, whom he is “in love with”. (Personally, I think it’s Putin he wants to share a throne with.)
