What is more cogent in the failure of Donald Trump is what it means for the Republican Party - which hoped to sail into history as the flagship political party representing the majority of Americans. They have worked hard to discredit the Democratic Party, and they have missed the point of what a political party's goals should be. Our political parties serve our voters. It is We the People who make the final decisions regarding who will be appointed to serve in our Congress and in our White House... and in all the political positions that are part of our state governments. It is We the People who decide who we choose to serve. But we must be a lot more careful who we elect. Tyrants and despots can destroy our democracy. Donald Trump certainly saw himself as the Last and most powerful "King of America". God help us if we let another despot like him get in the leader's seat in the White House again!
