Why is it that almost all the "charismatic" leaders personified in your written piece here are essentially militaristic leaders or authoritarian personalities? Is that what you feel is the necessary secret ingredient underpinning Charisma? If so, then it calls for slavish devotion and mesmerization of the people who follow such a leader, right? Even if they all must sacrifice their lives at his request -- like those who died at the request of the religious zealots in recent history?
